The study Encouraging private investment in the cultural sector published by the European parliament outlines the situation in the field of arts and business relations and corporate giving with these (selected) observations: In Slovenia there exists no arts and business forum to facilitate relations between the cultural sector and the business sector. There have been proposals to create such a body, but no action has taken place. There are numerous problems related to encouraging private investments in culture in Slovenia. Entrepreneurs are not investing their money in this sector because they believe that culture offers poor return on investment compared to other sectors. Furthermore, the distinction between sponsorship and patronage is still not well developed.
